Frequently Asked Questions
- Can we do therapy over Zoom?
- Yes, I offer remote psychotherapy, using secure videoconferencing software, as well as in-person therapy. There are several potential benefits to remote health care services (called "telehealth"), such as increased accessibility to those services. However, telehealth may not be appropriate for every client or situation. We can discuss whether it's a good fit for you.
- How long is an appointment?
- I offer 45-minute and 75-minute sessions for couple therapy. My individual therapy sessions are 45 minutes long.
- What are your fees?
- For individual psychotherapy, I charge $99 per 45-minute session. For couple therapy, I charge $115 per 45-minute session and $170 per 75-minute session.
- Do you offer a sliding scale?
- I do have limited appointments that I offer at a discounted rate, based on your financial situation.
- What health insurance do you accept?
-
Sharing information about your treatment with insurance companies can be a risk to confidentiality and privacy. Insurance companies also may try to place limits on your treatment, such as limiting the number or frequency of appointments. For these reasons, I am out-of-network for all commercial health insurance plans.
However, many health insurance plans do offer out-of-network benefits which may pay for part of your treatment. Note that you must first pay the full balance out-of-pocket, then submit a claim to your insurer, who will reimburse you directly after your deductibles have been met.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
- I accept cash, card, or check.
- What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
- I charge for missed appointments or cancelations made without 24 hours' notice.
